Nara is a new eatery in Martinborough created by Daniel Dew and Lucy Mutch, with a focus on fresh, locally produced ingredients, world class coffee and a carefully curated beverage list.

We are open for brunch/lunch six days a week.

Bookings are not essential but recommended on weekends and for larger groups.

Nara began its life as a little food truck, offering food at several Martinborough cellar doors, including StoneCutter, Te Kairanga, Palliser Estate and Nga Waka Vineyards, and growing into a full fledged café in 2023.

Launched after lockdown 2020 out of a desire to cook delicious, and nutritious delights in the unique, beautiful town of Martinborough.

Our philosophy is "no short cuts" we cook every dish totally from scratch with love. Fresh every day! Made using local, seasonal ingredients.
